Anna obtained her Honor’s Bachelor of Science from the University of Toronto. She double majored in psychology and criminology and minored in theatre, drama, and performance studies. Following her graduation, Anna explored her interest in the intersection of mental health and the law through various paid roles in medical and teaching fields, as well as her volunteer work at the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto. She returned to Seneca College of Arts and Technology to pursue her paralegal (accelerated) degree, and chose to advance her legal career by pursuing her law degree from the University of Sussex in the United Kingdom.

Anna worked in various criminal and immigration and refugee law firms before commencing her articles at the Ministry of Attorney General at the Newmarket Crown Attorney’s office. Her diverse prior educational and work background enabled her to provide a unique perspective during her articles, whether conducting legal research on complex constitutional matters, or strategizing trials she independently conducted at the Ontario Court of Justice.

The culmination of her legal positions in criminal defence and the Crown Attorney’s office as well as her non-legal positions in the mental health field and overseeing parent/child visitations at the Children’s Aid Society of Toronto led to Anna develop an interest in taking a position in establishing a balanced family law system. She looks forward to advocating for those who feel that their voices are not adequately heard while interacting with the family law system.

Outside of work, Anna enjoys reading, cooking, and spending time with her cat. She is also completing her Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology at Yorkville University.
